𝑬𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑼𝒑𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒔 is an immersive group exhibition that reimagines the boundaries between craft and fine art by showcasing the work of women artists within the intimate setting of a lived-in home. By placing traditionally undervalued crafts, such as textiles, ceramics, embroidery, and domestic objects, alongside contemporary fine art practices, this exhibition invites viewers to reconsider the cultural hierarchies that have long separated "art" from "craft," and "public" from "private."

Historically, women's creative labor in the home has been dismissed as mere craft or domestic necessity, rarely afforded the status of fine art. Inspired by Judy Chicago's "Womanhouse", we have situated this exhibition in a home rather than a conventional gallery. We challenge the notion that art must exist in sterile, neutral spaces to be taken seriously or considered valuable. The domestic setting becomes both a canvas and a context, highlighting the artistry embedded in everyday life and the home as a site of creation.

To reclaim the home as a space for artistic expression is to acknowledge and honor the generations of women whose creativity has flourished within its walls, often unrecognized. Much like Miriam Schapiro's "femmage" practice, it is both a reclaiming and a subversion: we are elevating the domestic, not as a place of confinement, but as a locus of agency and innovation. By inviting the public into a private space, we blur the boundaries and question who gets to define what is valuable, and where art "belongs."
